So logic would depict that the cessation of such a practice and a replacement with a healthier and more productive choice is definitely the route to go.

Well, as mentioned earlier, natural healing is gaining grounds in popularity and who knows in a few decades, not using this choice might be seen as the UNCONVENTIONAL approach.

It?s not the responsibility of the media to report truth. Its not their fault that you are not informed. It doesn?t effect them if you are left in the dark. They just dish up what sells. And sex sells!

How you can improve your sex life.

It?s simple really. Just improve how you think about yourself. You may have to research how too. I?ll help you with that part. And then comes the work of acting on the information. In a nutshell:

You have to come to love yourself and be comfortable being the man you are. That may take change. But it?s worth it. I changed, and I healed myself and now I have a wonderful attitude. I am single and celibate and quite happy just having friends that are girls. I hope one day my wife will return.lol I am praying for it!

Here is a little about my truth.

Let me be frank for a moment. What has my manhood got to do with my sex life? Well everything.

I used to sleep with prostitutes whenever I was between girlfriends. And when I didn?t have a girlfriend or the money for a prostitute; I used to sleep with men. I was what you call a Bi-sexual and what?s more disgusting then that; I was enjoying myself.

And oh boy was I lost soul.

I used to sleep with men.(sodomy) I used to share my bed with prostitutes (harlots). I used to take drugs( pharmaceuticals for a mental condition?manic depressive). And I used to abuse myself with drugs. (The non legal type). I had a girlfriend who was a prostitute. I *smile* here as the irony hits me. Yes I?d solved the money problem, I wasn?t paying her. My favorite place of fellowship was a strip tease club. My favorite drink scotch and coke. I pretty well did everything a decent lad shouldn?t do.

And even worse then that, I was a born again Christian. Some would say I was a backslider. Some would say Jesus could have helped me a lot faster. And he did. It just took me a lot of time to accept his answers. And I don?t feel guilty admitting this to you. ( five years on from writing this article I can say I do feel guilty for my lifestyle that I lived. The forgiveness of Jesus Christ is amazing, the fact that he let me live a reprobate life for so many years before I stopped it is a testimony to just how wonderful a God I know and love.)

My manhood and my sexuality?what happened?

When I was a young teenager I was sexually molested. I was shown love and attention from an older man. Part of this attention came in the form of oral sex initially, which I found extremely enjoyable. Then the love became sodomy which hurt a lot more.

This molestation wasn?t my problem though. And the abuser isn?t to blame. The reason I was selected was that I was vulnerable. I lacked the love of my own father and brothers. I simply didn?t feel they loved me. And this deficiency in my manhood, was an invitation to my abuser to fill the void.

I felt guilty. Yes, when it happened I was disgusted with myself. I felt so guilty and so ashamed of what I let this man do. I wasn?t defenseless. I didn?t have the right to say he forced himself upon me. Because I let him touch me. Sure, I was surprised he touched me and even a little afraid. But I let it happen. I accepted the perversions of men for a long time as love. It wasn?t love, it was sick. But until I forgave him, and forgave every man who had ever abused me, I was stuck with this sort of love. I forgave them. I learnt about why they were abusing me and healed my wounds. Now I am free. And now I?m promising you that you can be free too.

The number one reason little boys are sexually molested.

I didn?t feel loved by my father. There wasn?t any real connection. Sure, he loved me and provided for me in every way he could. He was always around after work and we spent considerable time together. But my problem with my father went way back. Back to a time when my father was never around. Back to when I was a little boy and I was in bed when he left home, and in bed when he came home. But that?s another story in itself.

The reason boys are molested is because of a breakdown in a relationship between the boy and the father. This can happen through divorce, a serious fight, or through alcoholic fathers. There are a myriad of ways for a relationship to breakdown between a boy and his daddy. But when it does, the boy becomes a target for the pedophile.

I found my sexuality by forgiving my dad.

When I read that it?s the breakdown of a relationship between a father and son, that has a major influence on sexuality, I knew I had to fix myself up. I read books and learnt a process of healing called ?healing of the memories.? Simply put, I forgave every bad experience between me and my father that I could recollect and made the first step in the restoration of our relationship.

My father hasn?t grown much. He hasn?t learnt much about my struggles. And he still can?t see how he treated me in the past, and how he treats me now has a bearing on my sexuality, but that?s cool. Because the onus wasn?t on him to heal me. And I didn?t need him to forgive me, or himself. He didn?t need to understand. I simply needed to understand him, forgive him and heal my own life. And the good news is- I did!

( Five years on and both my father and I have grown much. My father is drawing closer and closer to Jesus and many of his bad habits are being put away for ever. We love each other today and there isn't often tension and I know that I have to play my part and not rock the boat when things might get a little tense between us.)

Do you need help with your sexuality?

You can heal yourself too. And to a certain extent, you can do it without Jesus Christ. But once again to be really frank with you, you?ll do better in the way of forgiving if you have a relationship with Jesus Christ. I used my friend Jesus to restore my manhood. Another very useful resource is a book called Manhood. I used this book in my recovery and healing process. It?s all about understanding yourself as a man. It will bring you to tears and show you how your fathers relationship and what he did with you, whether that is good or bad, helped develop your view on things. If you can understand that he was only doing the best he can, and restore your relationship with him, it will help you tremendously can?t recommend it highly enough. Sexual HEALING or "Holy" Erotics - Women Be Warned!

With the new wave of consciousness and spiritual enlightenment came the "evil" twin. Many of us are having a lot of trouble telling one from the other. In our excitement and ignorance, we are trampling and adulterating the very same sacred traditions we are trying to honor.

I especially want to caution my fellow women to be very weary of the SOBs disguised as Sacred Sexual Healers. I am not saying all of the healers out there are fakes, but check the person out thoroughly before you ever think of allowing anyone to take advantage of your vulnerability. I've worked with women who've been enticed into all sorts of sexual exploits in the name of sexual healing, sacred sex or spiritual elevation only to end up with sexually transmitted diseases and broken hearts. This is no joke.

See, one of my clients told me about a holistic healer whom since I was black and into holistic work, she figured out I might know him. She told me, the brother says he can help women with infertility, sexual problems and childhood sexual abuse issues etc. I trained in trauma counselling specializing in childhood sexual abuse and related adult issues, I had to see this holistic healer for myself, may be learn a few things from him.

I found the place to be a small downtown hideout with two rooms. In one, the brother sees clients and from the consultation room you can see through the open door into the other room which basically has a tiny bed all decked out in very expensive "African" themed decor; leopard , zebra, giraffe etc - stunning!. The "sexual healer" himself is damn good looking; a dark tall lean angular figure, alert piercing eyes and set of perfect milk-white teeth against a coal black gum which makes his smile so mesmerizing. No wonder he has a stream of female clients - all races. As soon as I settled down on the mat in front of him, the brother started telling me all about "sexual difficulties. Now that is a real joke, because anyone, knows me also knows that with me, sex and difficult can't go in the same sentence. I told the brother, "no problem there". So he started something about my childhood sexual abuse and stuff. I told him I had never been abused as I child but he insisted I just don't remember it and that it was hidden somewhere in my brain. I told him where I come from child abuse is a curse, a taboo punishable by death of the person, his family and whole clan - I would have heard about it if something like that had happened on my account. He told me it was in my past life - another place and time - and that this was my fifth time round on earth. Now, I do not dispute this past lives theory, at least I am honest to say I don't know anything about it but I do not necessarily care for it either. I think the real reason I was willing to listen to all that bull for over 15 minutes was not because of curiosity about my past lives but because of what the brother was doing to me in the NOW.

See, the "diagnosis process" involves touching in the places that can get a woman's heart pumping chaotically - at least a red blooded woman. After about 10 minutes of his magic touch, and may be because I had closed my eyes and started day dreaming - about my boyfriend, he thought he had me because he invited me to the little bed to get my "treatment". You could have heard a pin drop in the brief seconds before I went "native", "rural" or "emotional" whatever you want to call it. All the so called "civilized" came off like a cheap polyster coat. I let the brother have it the way we do it in the village, except of course lifting my dress up and cursing him with my nakedness. I called him any name that came to my head and basically told the brother to go to "hell" which is where he belongs! I am sure that brother had never seen anything like that in his entire life because he was cowering in the corner when I left and I was still cursing when I got onto the street car. "Ssexual healing" my hide!

And there are some others who are running huge sex-trade operations in the name of holistic centers. Some of these are run by men pretending to be "gay" only to end up feeling you up, and their frontal limp biscuits give them away. The list and the depths to which some people can stoop!

Hypocrisy towards sex has created an obsession about sex that borders the absurd. On the one hand, we have an innate need for peak experiences of bliss, oneness, and ecstasy but on the other hand we are also embarrassed and ashamed of our sexed being and sexual desires. I know - and you probably do too - of people who secretly enjoy the sexual urges within themselves, try kinky stuff, use porn to get off, drink aphrodisiacs and have a little some-some hidden away in a drawer somewhere but will not openly admit that they enjoy sex. They'd rather drool over pornographic material but deny their own sexual nature.

Our present obsession with "holy bonking" is just another frantic effort to justify why we should have more sex in our lives, however, it does not easily heal the split of mind and body nor does it make sex more spiritual (or sacred). For crying aloud's sake, one does not have to be in an expanded stated of mind to passionately kiss one's wife or husband or massage a lover's feet. Of course if you are in that state that would be absolutely wonderful. What I am saying is that, even if well intentioned, our latest obsession with the sacredness of sex is more of a function of the ego and of the logical mind rather than an intuitive or direct awareness of the sacred patterns running through everything around us. Besides, over spiritualizing sex at a logical and intellectual level can anaesthetize the sexual experience by obstructing the natural inner flow which knows the best way intuitively.

If we gave sex its rightful place in all aspects of our daily lives, we might make our society more vibrant and nurturing instead of being a fertile ground for profound inhibitions and all sorts of collective obsessions.

It all starts with PREVENTION!

All too often, we as individuals come to believe that illness, disease, sickness and injury just happen to us and that some outside source forces itself upon us. It?s at that time that we decide that we must do something special to fight for our health. Sometimes it appears that whatever has happened will continue to plague us forever and perhaps it may.

It all depends on how far down the disease continuum we have allowed ourselves to progress. Whoever said that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure was absolutely correct and that age old axiom ?if I?d known I was going to live this long, I would have taken better care of myself? also applies.

The state that our bodies are in will determine whether we will be able to be over that cold in 4 hours, 4 days or 4 weeks. It will determine how fast a broken bone will mend. A broken bone will normally mend itself in a couple of months, with most of the pain and discomfort gone within the first month. The state that our bodies are in will determine the length of recovery time after a surgery or hospital stay.

Difficulties in the healing process develop when the body does not have the elements that it needs to complete the task at hand. Another way of saying it is that a person has allowed the body to fall into a state of lack. Lacking an essential vitamin, mineral, amino acid, oxygen molecule, etc. will make the body rob from Peter to pay Paul. It will take something from another part of the body that it considers less important (at the moment) and use it to fulfill critical needs.

A good example is when the blood becomes too acidic and needs some calcium to neutralize the acid and get back to an alkaline state. If we have plenty of calcium available in the body, great! However, if we don?t, then the body will take it from the bones (the bones make a great storage place for calcium). This is known as osteoporosis and it makes sense that it could be a factor in osteoarthritis.
How and why did it happen? The answer is simple, we did not keep the body in a balanced state by providing it with the building blocks it needed for continued health. Another sad fact that becomes apparent is that we probably weren?t even aware that the event happened.

Let?s say I was going to make an outstanding chocolate cake and the recipe required the following ingredients:

2 cups white sugar
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup boiling water

But let?s say I only had 1 cup of brown sugar, ? cup of chocolate chips and ? teaspoon of vanilla, plus all of the other ingredients. How good is my chocolate cake going to be? It might look OK, but chances are the person eating it is going to be surprised at the taste. You can?t bake a cake or run the body without providing everything that?s needed.

By the same token, it is wise not to add ingredients for either the cake or the body that are not required. I don?t think if I added two ounces of Oregano that it would help the cake taste any better. I still wonder why people feel a need to put tar, carcinogens, and nicotine (a poison) into the body thinking that in some way it helps them.

The body is the most amazing chemical factory ever devised. The body produces energy, distributes the fuel required for functioning, neutralizes toxins and removes them from the body so that further contamination cannot take place. The sad part is that most people take all of this for granted. They seem to care less about the foods they eat, the liquids they drink and the junk they use to feed the body.

They are clueless about how difficult it is for the heart to do its job every day. If your resting heart rate is 80 beats per minute, take that times 60 minutes in a hour, and that times 24 hours in a day and you have your heart beating 115,200 times every day! Through activity and exercise you can strengthen the heart and its resting rate will drop. Let?s say you lower your resting heart rate to 72 beats per minute. Using the above calculations, your heart would only have to beat 103,680 times per day saving you 11,520 beats. I don?t know how to calculate the energy savings of those 11 thousand beats but your body could definitely use that energy somewhere else -- perhaps in the immune system to fight off that cold we talked about.

Another system of the body that gets slammed quite regularly is the pancreas, which is the organ responsible for producing insulin. Insulin keeps the blood sugar levels in the blood stream within certain limits. A can of Coke has 39 grams of sugar in it and a can of Pepsi has 41 grams of sugar in it. If we understand that 4 grams equals one teaspoon, or that each soda has around 10 teaspoons of sugar, then we can understand the headline: ?One Soda a Day Increases Diabetes Risk 85 Percent.? Most people are unaware that diabetes is the fifth deadliest disease in the US. We create that situation for ourselves and by ourselves. If a wart were to grow out of our big toe one quarter of an inch for every teaspoon of sugar we consumed, we would probably stop after drinking about one half a can. But because we experience no outward side effects we continue to do what we have always done.

We talked about activity and exercise being able to help the heart, but that is not the only benefit. As we stress the cells of the body by working them, they become more efficient at producing energy. They move oxygen and nutrients into the cells with more ease and rid the cells of toxic waste. Of course, as our cellular efficiency becomes greater, our ability to ward off disease and sickness becomes greater. We sleep better at night, and have more serenity and less stress in our lives during the day.

My hope is that while reading this article, some little ah-ha popped out -- that something made sense on a gut (action level) and not just on a mental (agreement) level. The true key to living a long full disease-free life is prevention. I pray that you will do those things that will allow you to move into a healthy state of being. Remember, if you want to be healthy, do what other healthy people do.
